19th Century Virginia Barn

This 1839 barn was disassembled and moved from Greene County, Virginia to Albemarle County,Virginia.  Originally the barn was used for storage, its new use will be a residence for a young family. The yellow pine timber frame structure  measured  45′ x 78′  originally, (it has been reduced to suit the families needs).  The timbers are enormous!  Frank was responsible for disassembling, moving and reconstructing the super structure.   Modern construction,  to bring the home into the 21st century, will follow with a general contractor.
